Mission Statement
"We strive to being a great bike club offering a chance for members to get out for a ride most weekends and meet a fantastic group of riders with similar interests".

YOWMTC eGroups

The eGroups is both a Web and Email forum hosted by Yahoo and the primary method of communication within YOW. If you are already registered for eGroups, click HERE to enter eGroups Web.

Egroups gives members a place to meet, interact, and share ideas with each other and available to all current members.

Non-members can also join the egroup when nominated by a current member for a trial 6-month period (after which time we hope you will have become a member).

It's very simple to join our online E groups

  1. You first have to get registered on Yahoo. Go to: http://www.yahoo.com to join up. The link to Sign Up! is near the top-right of the yahoo page (But if you're already a Yahoo member and you know your id, then you can skip this step)
  2. Then please go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/YOWMTC and press "Join Group" to join the YOW egroups. Add some information about yourself. Please include your real name in the profile (although your nick can be any name you like) so the Moderator will know who you are. Then once the Moderator approves you, you will be able to access the E- groups.

It's very simple to use our online E groups

You can use your web browser to access EGroups HERE, just as you would any forum. Click 'Messages' to read messages and 'Post' to post a message. The rich-text editor works fine.

But as an alternative to Web, you can access the EGroups entirely by EMail. Many members do it this way. Click 'Edit Membership' and configure your profile to receive individual emails. Then every post is emailed to you. Beware, at times this can result in lots of email! By replying or sending an email to YOWMTC@yahoogroups.com you can post a message back (note for those with multiple email addresses, this only works when you send from the same email account with which you are registered on Yahoo)

Look forward in meeting you on E groups

Please follow these guidelines when posting messages across the group:

Just like a real community, we all have different opinions and the experience is best served when members remember these few basic rules and show respect for each other's views.

  1. We are a Jewish motorcyle touring club so please keep posts relevant to motorcycling, touring and/or Jewish issues. As such jokes, movies, or just interesting web links can be sent to individual emails - not the group as a whole.
  2. Do not post content that is obscene or otherwise objectionable or abusive.
  3. Do not post emails relating to religious diatribe, commercial activity, virus warnings, or advertising, or forward such emails you may have received from others, especially those containing email distribution lists.
  4. Do not use the group to harass, abuse, intimidate, threaten, or advocate violence against members of the group.
  5. Do not post content which infringes any member's privacy.
  6. Do not conduct illegal activities, fraud or be involved in situations of potential threats to the physical safety of any person within the group.
  7. If you are unsure whether your content is consistent with these policies, err on the side of caution.

If anyone abuses these guidelines and ignores reminders to comply, they may be banned from posting.
