Report:

Riders were Richard and Max L. Departed Sunday and after determining that corner marking was not required :-) headed to Walhalla via back roads, avoiding the M1 for all but 25km. Warm weather and great twisty roads up to Walhalla, esp after Rawson but had to watch out for boulders on road from rock slides. At Walhalla had lunch and became tourists to look around the town like a mini ballarat, an interesting relic of gold rush times, also went on the goldfields railway to thompson and back, a narrow gauge like the puffing billy. The cemetery is interesting, way up on the hill above the town, apparently Dendy (Brighton founder) is buried there, didn't find him but got fitter trying. Overnighted in Stratford. On Monday, headed to Licola via maffra accompanied by Narelle, a local netrider. That really is a magnificent and scenic road, 45k of mixed twisties about half 70k-80Kmh sweepers and half tighter 35-40kmh on a good grippy surface. Narelle then took us on some great back rds around lake glenmaggie and to the dam wall. The rain band was coming in so decided to call it quits and Max & i headed home via churchill, boollara, mirboo, leongatha. boolara to mirboo is nice twisty section - recommend it. Back 6pm, all up 750km. Few photos attached below >>>
